Mangoseed

Mangoseed mix elements of London political punk-rock (think The Clash) mixed with elements of reggae and funk. Last week saw the release of their debut album Basquiat. The album was inspired by the work and spirit of Jean- Michel Basquiat. They also wanted to pull from all the various genres that they love, as well as the artists and bands that inspired them, such as Red Hot Chili Peppers (you can hear that in the heavy basslines), Wu-Tang Clan, and many others.

Check out lead single “Brix-Tone” below, which sounds like The Clash with a bit of reggae thrown in there. I’ve posted both the music video and a regular stream of the song.
