Avi Buffalo will release new album At Best Cukold on September 8 via Sub Pop. It’s the long-awaited follow-up to their 2010 debut album. Bandleader Avi-Zahner-Isenberg produced the record, which was recorded at various locales in San Francisco, Los Angeles, and New York.
Today they shared with us At Best Cukold’s first single, the incredible “So What.” If my memory serves me right, I heard them play it when I saw them play at SXSW in March. It’s a warm and vibrant track full of Avi’s youthful vocals over some jangly guitar lines that are just plane delightful. “So What” just moves and grooves in all the right ways. It’s perfect for the warm summer weather that has finally arrived and will be promptly put on repeat all week.
