Little Comets came all the way from Jarrow, Britain for New York City’s 4th annual Governors Ball. They’re an act I first featured on here a few years ago, but their early set at Governors was the first time that I was able to catch them live. They kicked off Day 1 of my Governors Ball with a 12:15 set time just as the crowd was getting settled in to the festival grounds.

They made due with what they had, starting the fest off on the right foot. The crowd was receptive to such a vibrant set to start the weekend off with. Although I’m not as familiar with their newer stuff (which sounded nice), it was awesome to finally hear the older tracks such as “Jennifer” and “Dancing Song.” They have a warm energy live that will win you over with relative ease.

I had to head over to Drowners towards the tail end of their set, but wanted to stay. Hopefully the next time they’re in NYC I can catch a proper show.

Photos of their set posted below.
