El-P and Killer Mike’s rap partnership Run The Jewels captivated their audience with a thrilling set that didn’t shy away from a deep throbbing bass. Being as close as you can in the photo pit the bass was so devastating that I thought bits of my insides were ruptured. The two of them used this as an energizer, starting their set at a insane level of high energy and never letting up at any moment.

They ran around the stage and delivered each line with as much oomph as the last, looking like they were having a blast while doing so. They had quite a large audience watching their show, an impressive feat considering how early in the day it was. Hip-hop live can always be a tricky feat to master at a festival, but it was no problem for Run The Jewels who delivered, and then some.
