The Juan MacLean is the duo of John MacLean and Nancy Whang (formerly of LCD Soundsystem). They will return with their new album In A Dream on September 16 via DFA.
According to MacLean, the new album is Whang’s time to shine, and based on first single and opening track “A Place Called Space”, this is very much true. It’s an epic 8-minute dance treasure that is an electronic-based disco revival. It takes its time to build up, releasing all tension through Whang’s ever-so familar vocals.
