On October 11 and 12 the inaugural Escape Music Festival will kick off. Due to unforeseen circumstances, the venue has moved from Pier 9 in Brooklyn to Governors Beach Club on Governors Island in Manhattan. Free ferry service will be provided from 10 South Street in Manhattan to take festival attendees to Governors Island.
Everything else about the festival will stay the same (Placebo, Girl Talk, Yeasayer, Ra Ra Riot, etc. are all still playing), except the curfew, which was extended later to midnight, and the age limit has been lowered to 18+ allowing a few younger fans the chance to enjoy the festival. With that said, the change of venue has slightly decreased the supply of tickets, so fans are recommended to buy their tickets now in advance. You can purchase tickets right here.
