Who better to close out a festival than Gregg Gillis’ Girl Talk? The DJ/mashup artist knows how to create a live party atmosphere that can get the crowd going. He was the man booked to close out the first ever Escape Music Festival, and it was a grand old time.

The only other time I caught Girl Talk live was when he came to play at Binghamton University while I was a student there (it’s also the only show I’ve ever crowd-surfed at – yikes).

Thanks to the helpful guys over at The Most Definitely, I was able to get on stage with the man himself for a few songs, getting a whole new behind the scenes look at how Gillis operates. It was interesting to see how he blends the songs together, and to see how it all looks from his point of view.

It was an appropriate send off to the weekend of music at the Governors Beach Club and the Escape Music Festival.
