After catching Rivergazer at NYC Taper’s day party at Cake Shop, it was time for Amanda X, who I caught (and loved) much earlier in the year when they opened for Parquet Courts at The Acheron.
Since then, the Philadelphia all-female trio have released their rocking debut album Amnesia, and have been touring seemingly non-stop since that January introduction. They played a quick but riveting show at Cake Shop, fully reminding me why I fell in love with them so quickly in the first place.
The showcase style set forced the band to wrap things up a bit too soon, but hopefully I can catch them again sooner than later.
