I caught a bit of Brooklyn outfit Icewater’s set at Cake Shop. Earlier this year they released their debut LP Collector’s Edition. They recently followed that up with a new 2-track self-titled EP that features a wonderful track titled “Good Face.”
They played that and more at their performance which was a total engaging affair. There’s a modest humility to their music tha connected with me live. These guys know how to win you over with charming songs that are played with a breezy youthful dreaminess that just hooks you in.
Apparently they’re already hard at work on their sophomore LP Cardinal, which we may just see next year. I hope to catch these guys again soon, they got it going on.
