Well that was quick. After releasing new album Drop last year, Thee Oh Sees are returning with a new album this year. It’s called Mutilator Defeated At Last and it’s dropping via Castle Face Records on May 18. So much for that “hiatus.” Your move next Ty.

This incarnation of Thee Oh Sees features John Dwyer, Tim Hellman, Nick Murray (both who were the touring band for Drop last year), Chris Woodhouse, and Brigid Dawson.

Along with the announcement came the release of opening track “Web.” It’s a thrilling rocker from the group that combines the dripping psych-rock elements of Drop and combines them with the heavier guitar freakouts that we’ve come to expect from the group. It’s a combination of all of their worlds, and it’s a wonderful journey to take. I can already envision the beer-filled freakouts that this song with garner live.

Stream “Web” below, and find some new SXSW tour dates posted after the album tracklist.
