Mac DeMarco

Mac Demarco has emerged as not only one of the hottest artists currently in the music scene, but also as a local live favorite in New York. DeMarco, who now resides in Rockaway, Queens, will celebrate the recent release of his new mini-LP Another One (out via Captured Tracks) with a string of four very sold out shows this week (he also played a surprise show at Baby’s All Right a couple weeks ago).

The first show comes tonight at Bowery Ballroom. Tomorrow night he’ll take over Webster Hall, Wednesday will be Music Hall of Williamsburg, and he will round it out with a final performance at Warsaw, if he has any energy left. Tickets for all shows are sold out, but there are still some floating around secondary markets, although they’re insanely pricey. If you wanted to go to all four shows, you had a chance to by showing up to the BBQ Mac threw at 153 Morgan Ave on July 8, where he was selling “All Passes” that would get you into all the shows, along with a special t-shit and a surprise item.

We will have coverage coming from at least one of the shows happening this week, stay tuned for more on that. All shows are bound to be good ones. If you can find a way out, make it happen. God bless.
