Both Sam Beam and Ben Bridwell have had great careers with their respective projects Iron and Wine, and Band Of Horses. This year they teamed up for a covers album called Sing Into My Mouth (released via Brown Records/Black Cricket).
The fun didn’t end their, the two decided to tour together, to not only perform the classic songs that they covered on the album, but to share unique versions of their own songs. It was a treat to get to see the two talents sharing the stage and creating a new kind of magic that we may not see again, at least not for a while.
I was able to catch a portion of their set at Newport Folk Festival earlier this summmer. Find some more shots from their performance posted below.
