Boston native Mikael Hirsch makes music under the moniker MPTHY. He’s recently released his new album The Golden Boy, and today I’m sharing the title track with you. With vocals that call to mind the chilly nature of Placebo’s Brian Molko, Hirsch delights your ears with colorful swirling synths and a bouncy bass, all adding up to delightful results.
as Hirsch tells it:
i have horrible night terrors and this song was entirely written whilst in the midst of one so all i had to do when i woke up was wipe away the sweat and right down the words and melody.
