On September 8 John Dwyer and Thee Oh Sees returned to New York for a sold out performance at Bowery Ballroom, their first of two NYC stops in support of their new album Mutilator Defeated At Last (out via Castle Face Records). Just like last summer, this version of Thee Oh Sees consisted of bassist Tim Hellman and drummers Ryan Moutinho and Dan Rincon.

As normal, the group tore through a sweaty, hard-hitting set that had Dwyer in complete control of the room that turned into a punk-rock jungle gym of crowdsurfers and moshers. They prove time and time again with Ty Segall why they’re both one of the hardest working bands in rock, and one of the very best.

Find photos of their performance below, along with openers Ice Balloons and Zs.
