Mysterious art-rock outfit Flaunt is the split operation of Justin Jennings and Joseph Vitterito.
The pair hail from different parts of the country (Colorada and Maine, respectively), the duo come together to former experimental act Flaunt. They will return this year with new album Rave Noir on March 18, and have released the albums first single “Restraint” to give fans a taste of their new direction.
“Restraint” begins with an airy chilly ambient atmosphere, before finding a jolt with an electronic beats that soon transition into a alt-rock kick. The track transitions to different areas of genre pretty seamlessly, showing off a range of sounds and emotions that work to varying degrees. The various stylistic changes take a few listens to fully adapt to, but once they do it provides some interesting results.
