Although I caught Deerhunter the night before at Rough Trade NYC, I still found myself going for seconds at Irving Plaza. The fact that it was a crowd of all Deerhunter fans versus a Jukely members only event, definitely made it feel like a different event. The band sounded great once again, and even changed things up with the inclusion of “Helicopter” during the encore, which we didn’t get the night before.
I may have seen them twice in two days, but I’m already anxious for their return to New York this spring. For now, find some more photos from their Irving Plaza performance posted below.
