On November 8, DIIV returned to New York for their first performance since Governors Ball over the summer. I also caught them earlier in the spring when they played a surprise show at Baby’s All Right. At the time they were still fleshing out the new songs that would make up their new album Is The Is Are, which Captured Tracks released a few weeks ago. The group shared some more new songs off the album, as well as more familiar material from their debut Oshin.

The night also featured an opening performance from Sunflower Bean, which would end up being their last New York performance before their own big headlining show at Bowery Ballroom, which goes down later this week. They also tested new material from their fantastic debut album Human Ceremony, which is out now via Fat Possum Records.

Hit the jump for a full photo gallery of DIIV, Sunflower Bean, as well as Montreal outfit No Joy, who also opened the show.
