After catching Deafheaven at Webster Hall, I ran over to Williamsburg to catch The Districts at Music Hall of Williamsburg (on November 5). I saw them plenty of times throughout 2015, but it didn’t take away from this performance in any way.
The band keep on getting better and better with every performance, turning the tracks of their 2015 debut album A Flourish And A Spoil (released via Fat Possum Records) into high-octane energizers live. These guys are just getting started in their young careers, making me wonder just what treasures that have waiting for us in the future.
We were also treated to an opening set from the lovely Lady Lamb, who also released her own fantastic 2015 record After, which was released via Mom + Pop Music.
