(Foxygen at Rough Trade last year)

Foxygen will kick this weekend off right with a performance at Terminal 5 on Friday, their biggest headlining NYC show to date. The tour is in support of their good new album Hang (which has been a bit overlooked so far this year, if you ask me), which they released in January via Jagjaguwar.

While the band has somewhat calmed down since their early days, you can always expect a kinetic performance by singer and frontman Sam France. The big orchestration found on the album will actually fill out the large space of T5 quite nicely, making for what will be an interesting performance.

As if that wasn’t enough, Suflower Bean will open things up, with what is always an energetic live performance that will hopefully include a new song or two. And before them, Purr (fornerly known as Jack and Eliza) will get the night started.

Tickets for the show are still available to buy right here.
