New York synth-pop rockers Chairlift, consisting of Caroline Polachek and Patrick Wimberly, have called it quits, and gave fans one last chance to see them live with a final farewell tour. Naturally, the tour concluded in New York with a performance at Brooklyn Steel last Saturday. They also added a few more New York shows a few days before to meet the New York demand, playing both Bowery Ballroom and Baby’s All Right.
We caught the penultimate performance at Baby’s All Right on April 19, which started with a special karaoke performance from friends of the band, and then a career spanning 20-song set that featured just about every song that fans wanted to hear before saying farewell (at least for now).
