New Zealand singer/songwriter Luke Thompson and producer Alex Wildwood (of the indie rock group Shakes) combined forces after being longtime fans of each others work and soon started making some music of their own. They ended up combining their powers to create Beeches and holed up in Alex’s home studio for three weeks to write, record, mix and master their debut EP Famous Friends.
One of the results of this recording session is the absolutely chill and readymade track “Cos I Can”,” creating some beautiful melodies and vocals that have a pleasant warm glow to them like a beautiful summer day. This is one hell of a way to introduce an EP.
