Aside from having one of the most striking band names we’ve come across is some while, Swedish outfit Cherokee Death Cats also have quite an energy in their brand of indie rock.
There’s a raw intensity to the tag team of Bea Persson and Rat Westlake’s loose but rocking demo for single “Leech” something like a cross between Savages, The Kills and Yeah Yeah Yeahs. It’s a raw rough rocker in the best way possible, as it comes across as natural and real, not an overproduced bland piece of rock, something that we can certainly appreciate.
