Virgin Suicide is the Copenhagen rock outfit consisting of Martin Grønne, Terkel Atsushi Røjle, Simon Thoft Jensen, Kristian Schøtt Kyvsgaard, and Jeppe Østergaard. They are self-described as making a sound of “clean chords and heart wrecking melodies” that captures the “despair of being young.”
They’re back this year with their new album Forever Trouble, the highly anticipated follow-up to their 2015 self-titled debut. They are living up to their sound based upon the album’s rather stunning first single “Burnout” which welcomes you with a warm bath of delightful Smiths-like guitars and passionate vocals that ring love-longing and true. It’s a real pleasant delight one that bodes well for the rest of the album when it is released next month via NMS.
