When John Dwyer brings Thee Oh Sees (who are currently going by either Oh Sees or OCS, I can’t keep up) into down, you just go. No matter how many times I see them, their live show always sends me home blown away as if it was my first time seeing them again.

This summer they released their new record Orc (via Castle Face Records) and have yet another album in the pipeline, Memory of a Cut Off Head which will come out on November 17 and will feature the return of long time collaborator Brigid Dawson.

On September 10 they played the second of a sold out two-night run at Warsaw in support of Orc. They show was a typically fierce and sweaty garage rock ruckus which featured plenty of crowd-surfing bodies and moshing. They once again proved why they’re the best live act going at the moment – at least in my humble opinion.
