It doesn’t take long for Australian musician Alex Lahey to win you over on her debut album I Love You Like a Brother (released via Dead Oceans). The album opens with “Every Day’s The Weekend,” arguably its best track (and one of my most listened to this year). It’s a good example of what new listeners can expect from Lahey. A big infectious indie rock melody and some clever lyrics and a delivery that is undeniable catchy and infectious.

She will bring her joyful sound to Brooklyn on Thursday for a performance at Music Hall of Williamsburg. Support will come from both Dude York and Nervous Dater. Tickets for the show are still available and can be purchased here.

It’s going to be a fun time, I hope to see you there.
