Modern Leisure is the indie pop/rock project of Denver, Colorado musician Casey Banker. The project is he way to lay down personal stories of his weird twenties, all those insane and equally horrivble lovely experiences that help define us.
Take the absolutely wonderful single “The Secret Art,” the first single taken from his debut album Super Sad Rom-Com, which will be released soon enough by Guilty Pleasure Records.
It has a vintage rock sound with a warm glow to it that calls to mind the work of Kevin Morby, which is most certainly a good thing. Smartly constructed and even better executed, it’s a true winner in every way.
