Boston folk quartet Darlingside return with their new album Extralife on February 23. They’re shared the lovely single “Hold Your Head Up High,” with some heavenly vocals that are quite breathtaking. The overall construction of the song is warm, with some well-incorporated horns and bits that remind a bit of Sufjan Stevens.

This is the sort of song that has a sneaky mainstream appeal and you could come across it someday accompanying a big trailer or critical dramatic moment in a film. It’s absolutely gorgeous.

Enjoy a stream of “Hold Your Head Up High” below and stay tuned for the release of Extralife later this month (you can preorder it on iTunes now)
