Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros’s “Man On Fire” video features many different New York dance/cheer groups doing their thing in a natural environment. This effect has a really peaceful quality about it, creating a heart warming sensation that is certainly helped by the song, which is bound for many dramatic movie trailers.

The video was directed by actor Brady Corbet on location in NY earlier in May.

Edward Sharpe And The Magnetic Zeros release new album Here on May 26. Over the past few days two songs from the album have been available to stream: “That’s What’s Up” and “Man On Fire”.

“Man On Fire” is a home-felt track that soothes the soul with it’s calm passion. It’s one of those songs that you’ll surely see played during movie trailers and sad montage scenes. “That’s What’s Up” has more of a California sunshine feel that features split vocals between Jade & Alexander.

Both songs are reassuring that Edward Sharpe are still going strong with the new album. I still got to see these guys live. Hopefully this time around.

Stream both songs below.

Alexander From Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros Goes Solo

By Will Oliver, January 29th 2011 — with 4 comments

Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros’ very own Alexander Ebert is going solo. He’s going by the name Alexander, and is releasing his self titled debut album March 1st on Community Music (via Vagrant).

You can hear two songs from the album right now. “Truth” starts off like a lonely journey through a dry desert plane but soon spreads it wings towards various genres. It’s available to download for free right now. The second is the warm “Million Years”. It’s available to stream right after “Truth”.

Both tracks are solid offerings that should make you excited for his debut album.

Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros – Home

By Will Oliver, September 24th 2009 — with 3 comments

Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros debut album Up From Below is a pure delight from beginning to end. Full of wonderful melodies, strong lyrics, and

Here is my favorite song from the album, titled “Home”. It starts out with catchy whistling, which guides the song to it’s close state of perfection.

“Home” is appropriately titled, as it makes you reminisce about the most familiar place that you shared with your loved one(s). Personally, it makes me think about lost family vacations and close times with my friends.

To be blunt, this song is really good. It hits a familiar part of me inside. Right from the start it caught my attention, and rightfully so.

Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros need more loving!! Make them feel @ home guys!
