Surprisingly Atmosphere haven’t received any complaints from Yeezus himself about titling their recent single “Kanye West” (at least that we know). The track is off their upcoming Southsiders, which is released May 6 via Rhymesayers.
They just released a wild music video featuring an unlikely couple pulling off a bunch of robberies, Bonnie and Clyde style. It’s an entertaining watch for sure.
Atmosphere’s new album Southsiders comes out May 6 via Rhymesayers. Lead single “Bitter” set the table, and now he’s raised it a bit with follow-up track “Kanye West.” Yes, that’s the title. I don’t know if Kanye is ok with it, but it looks like they got away with it.
Slug handles his rhymes over some fine production, definitely worthy of its Kanye West songs title.
On Saturday night I trekked out with some friends to Newark, New Jersey making my first visit to the Prudential Center in order to take in a show from the always extravagant Kanye West. I saw him only a few months ago at The Garden, which was thebest show that I saw in 2013. So I couldn’t possibly pass up another chance to take in a show during his Yeezus tour.
The evening was all Kanye, with no opener to delay our focus. Just like on Yeezus, Kanye kicked things off with “On Sight”, with his face completely concealed by one of his insane masks. From there on out it was a mix-and-match of songs spread throughout his incredible catalog, both old and new. Read the rest of this entry »
ceo (who has a new album on the way // stream new track “Whorehouse”) wouldn’t have been first guess of artists who would cover Kanye West. But he has done so, and he’s interestingly chosen Yeezus track “Hold My Liquor.”
He transforms the song into a different world, giving it a dreamy, tropical, feeling. Download a free mp3 of the cover below. Read the rest of this entry »
James Franco & Seth Rogan enjoyed Kanye West’s video for Bound 2 (featuring Kim Kardashian) so much that they got together and recreated the video, shot for shot. It’s utterly insane and ridiculous. They did it during some downtime while on set of an upcoming movie that they’re both starring in called The Interview.

Getting to see A Tribe Called Quest play their final show ever (they really seem to mean it this time) as an opening act is a pretty good deal. Kanye West invited them to open up two of his headlining shows at both Barclays and MSG, with the latter being the final show in NYC, as well as A Tribe’s last performance. It was a fell good great hits offering from the beloved Queens rap group, who left things off on the highest note possible. Read the rest of this entry »

Kanye West, who is busing playing some big arenas in the area right now (with two more on the way this weekend), has released a new video.
It’s for “Bound 2″ and it was premiered on Ellen on Tuesday morning. It features his soon to be wife, Kim Kardashian, topless on a motorcycle, with Kanye. So if you’re at work best not to watch it as its uncensored and NSFW.
Kanye West did a rare late night television performance the other night on Jimmy Fallon, performing Yeezus’ closing track “Bound 2.” He performed it with Charlie Wilson (who performs his line from the song) as well as The Roots. It’s not the song you would expect Kanye choose to play on such a performance, but it turns out to be a pretty damn good choice.
Kanye West has announced his first full solo tour in 5 years. It’s called The Yeezus Tour and will take Kanye around the U.S. & Canada in mid October to early December. He will play in Brooklyn at Barclays Center on 11/19, and in New York City at MSG on 11/23. Most of the dates include support from Kendrick Lamar. Unfortunately both New York shows will be absent of Kendrick’s presence.
His set at Governors Ball this summer was a highlight of all the festivals that I went to. If that is any indication how the rest of the tour will be, we’re in for a treat.
A link to Kanye West’s music video for Yeezus single, “Black Skinhead” has just arrived. It features a CGI animated Kanye dancing around with a chain. Quite disappointed with this, considering all the possibilities that Kanye could have went with here.
