November 5 will finally bring M.I.A.’s long awaited new album Matangi to us (via Interscope). She’s shared another track from the album, a track titled “Come Walk With Me.”
It kicks off strong with the first 1:30 features a subdued dream-like feel that I really enjoyed more than the rest of the song itself when it picks up and hits a poppier note with macbook sounds and all. It’s a fine listen and all, but I can’t help but wonder what M.I.A. could have done if she stayed with what she started on the track. Would have loved to hear an extended version of that intro into a full song.
M.I.A.’s new album Matangi is finally going to be released on November 5. We’ve hearda few tracks already, and now we got a new one to hold us over. It’s called “Unbreak My Mixtape” and it samples Blur’s “Tender.”
Take a listen below. It’s pretty chill, but it isn’t really jumping out at me right now.
M.I.A. will always release a music video that will spark conversations, good or bad. Her latest is for “Bring The Noize”, her new single which was released last week. It’s not quite “Bad Girls”, but there’s still plenty to feast your eyes on.
M.I.A.’s new single “Bring The Noize” was supposed to premiere later today on Zane Lowe, but the internet has brought it to us a little sooner. It’s more than likely to show up on her new album Mantangi.
It’s her first release since last years single “Bad Girls.” This is a forward thinking M.I.A. who sounds freshly rested and full of a lot of ideas. It’s a cool single, and you can stream it below right now:
“Doobie” is an unreleased track that M.I.A. recorded with producer Danja back in 2007, the same time that she recorded last years “Bad Girls.” Danja shared the track in a video, where he explains the circumstances.
We are still waiting for M.I.A.’s new album Mathangi, which should come out sometime in 2013. In the meantime, she is keeping fans busy by sending them new songs, personally. This happened after fans asked her for new music on twitter, and she obliged, sending one of the them a new track called “atTENTtion.”
Not sure if it’s on the new album, but it’s sounding very M.I.A., and is worth a listen.

As I reported last week, M.I.A. reworked “Bad Girls” from her Vicki Leekx mixtape and released it today as a new single. It’s one of those tracks that sounds that much better blasted loud on some good speakers.
M.I.A. is working on her new album which is looking at a summer release. You may even see her at the Super Bowl halftime show if Madonna brings her out to perform their collab single, “Give Me All Your Luvin”.

Next week M.I.A. will release a brand new single titled “Bad Girls”. It was originally a part of her mixtape Vicki Leekx. The new version was produced by Danja and it will be officially released next Tuesday, but it will be streamed on Monday.
