San Francisco rockers The Fresh & Onlys are releasing new album House Of Spirits on June 10 via Mexican Summer. Lead single “Bells Of Paonia” is the first track to be shared from the album and it’s a good one.
It’s glorified in fuzzy guitar fuzz that sounds something like what Glasvegas’ earlier stuff was dedicated to. The words of frontman Tim Cohen get fully absorbed by all the distortion, which gives it a emotive touch that’s raw and hard-hitting.
The Fresh & Onlys have released a wacky music video for their song, “Presence of Mind”. It basically showcases one of the craziest bus rides imaginable, reconfirming my preference for trains. It’s off of their upcoming album, Long Slow Dance, due out September 4 via Mexican Summer. Download the awesome “Yes Or No” here, also from the album.
The Fresh & Onlys new single “Yes Or No” is a straight hit in my book. Catchy guitars and vocals reminiscent of My Morning Jacket’s Jim James is a winning formula. It’s a single that will be on their new album Long Slow Dance, out September 4 via Mexican Summer.
