Jay Z has released quite a visual music video for his Justin Timberlake featured jam, “Holy Grail.” It’s the first video to exclusively premiere on Facebook. It was only a matter of time until Mark Z and Jay Z collaborated, am I right?
Justin Timberlake must not believe in rest. He already released one album this year, which turned out to only be the first half of the full double album that is known asThe 20/20 Experience. The 2nd half of the album is coming out on my birthday, September 30.
He released the first single from the album, the very Michael Jackson-esque “Take Back The Night.” Clocking it at a lofty 6 1/2 minutes, it’s a jazzed up club tune with a heavy hand in Michael’s territory. It’s safe and doesn’t jump out as me as much as “Suit & Tie” and “Mirrors” did, but it’s pretty enjoyable on the whole.
JT’s music video (NSFW) for Tunnel Vision has been causing its fair share of controversy. The clip features numerous naked woman in the video, so don’t watch this at work. There were rumblings that the video would get banned from youtube, but as you can see, they decided that its fine since it keep to their guidlines of using nudity when used in “an educational, documentary or artists context.”.
The video shows Timberlake and Timbaland as well as a few naked girls, all dancing over some crazy effects. It’s a trip. Check it out below. Read the rest of this entry »
Jay-Z’s new album Magna Carta Holy Grail was released at midnight tonight via Samsung’s app. The demand was so wild that the app of course crashed. But not all is lost, a stream has surfaced of the opening track “Holy Grail” which features Justin Timberlake. Honestly, JT is easily the best thing about this track. Wouldn’t have been a bad addition on 20/20.
Justin Timberlake’s“Mirrors” is an epic song, so it needs a pretty epic video. He delivers one that is more of a two part short film above the test of love. The second half shows him dancing in a hall full of mirrors, of course.
Jay-Z & Justin Timberlake have announced the Legends Of The Summer tour that will take them aroud legendary stadiums such as Yankee Stadium and Fenway Park. The tour will kick off in mid July and end in August . Tickets go on sale February 28 for all the shows except at Yankee Stadium. Those details will come soon.
I enjoyed “Suit & Tie” more and more with every listen, but “Mirrors”, the latest cut shared from The 20/20 Experience is incredible. If the rest of the album is of this quality, it’s going to be a killer.
