We All Want Someone To Shout For is a New York-based music blog founded by Will Oliver in the summer of 2008. It started out simply as a means of showing my friends what I was listening to. It’s turned into something much more.

The blog is written by me, Will Oliver. As the only writer on the site I can offer you one singular voice offering you some of the best that new music has to offer.

You can expect to find coverage on all the best and latest in the music world. Genres don’t exist here. Only good music.

(BOSTON, Massachusetts Feb 24, 2016). The next generation of the Blues comes to the Beast of Bourbon in Brooklyn The Ben Knight Band and Jimmy Bez bring their version of the blues to the Lower East Side on Sunday evening, February the 28th.

The Ben Knight Band was nominated for a 2015 New England Music Award and took home the win for the Last Band Standing competition. This high-energy band have played all around New England to great acclaim and shared the stage with Sheila Raye Charles, daughter of legendary musician Ray Charles, and with Claudette King the youngest daughter of iconic blues master B. B. King. Knight has also shared the stage with the Fabulous Thunderbirds, Albert Castiglia, the Joe Moss Band and Ronnie Earl.

Legendary Boston radio personality Carter Alan says of Ben Knight “this kid has it all: talent, soul, stage presence and charisma.”

Joining Knight on stage will be Jimmy Bez lead vocalist and guitar player for his own “Jimmy Bez Blues Band.” At 12 years of age he was a prominent player on the original rock scene in Massachusetts, now older Jimmy has embraced his passion for the blues. The Jimmy Bez Blues Band have just won the 2016 Boston Blues Challenge in their musical category and were invited to play in Memphis at the National Blues Championship. Once you’ve heard Jimmy Bez play the guitar – you’ll recognize the strains of early Clapton and late Mike Bloomfield. Bez was voted Young Performer of the Year 2014 by Limelight Magazine and the 2014 recipient of The Radar Award presented by Pavoh.org.

John Hall from Rock Rhythm Records says this about Jimmy: “this kid was born to play the blues.”
