Chromeo + Death From Above 1979 - Sexy Socialite

Chromeo have a new album called White Women coming out sometime soon. They’ve already shared two cuts from the album “Over Your Shoulder” and “Sexy Socialite.”

The other day Chromeo stopped by Jimmy Fallon to play “Sexy Socialite.” Interestingly enough, they did it with a little help from Death From Above 1979. It was pretty freaking awesome.

Check out the collaborative performance below.

It’s been a long time since we’ve heard or seen anything from Fleet Foxes, or their frontman, Robin Pecknold. I was beginning to get worried. But alas, earlier this week he made his return on live TV.

Pecknold, along with Daniel Rossen of Grizzly Bear and drummer Neil Morgan, covered Pearl Jam’s “Corduroy” on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon, who have been celebrating Pearl Jam all week long with other bands covering their songs, as well as Pearl Jam themselves playing. By Will Oliver, October 21st 2013

Last week Arctic Monkeys dropped by Jimmy Kimmel to play “Do I Wanna Know?” and “R U Mine?”. However a overly extended Kanye West interview on the night it was supposed to play forced them to delay it another week.

It was finally shared on Wednesday night. Check out both performances below.

Watch Arcade Fire On SNL | Live Special: Here Comes The Night

By Will Oliver, September 30th 2013 — with 1 comment

Arcade Fire
had a big weekend. On Saturday they were the musical guests on SNL and played new single “Reflektor” along with brand new song “Afterlife.” They also participated in a few live skits on the show. After SNL their live concert special “Here Comes The Night” aired. It featured footage from their special hometown show earlier in the month at Montreal’s Club Salsathèque.

Not only did they play 3 new songs for the special (“Here Comes The Night Time”, “We Exist” and “Normal Person”) but a shit-ton of special guests made cameos. Try this list on for size:

Bono, Bill Hader, Zach Galifianakis, Ben Stiller, Rainn Wilson, Michael Cera, James Franco, Aziz Ansari, Eric Wareheim, Jason Schwartzman. Wow.

Below you can find the special, along with both SNL performances.

Watch MGMT Play Fallon | Announce Barclays Center Show

MGMT stopped by Jimmy Fallon last night to play some music and announce that they are playing at Barclays Center on December 13. It’s their biggest New York show to date.

They played two new song from their new self-titled album (which just came out this week). The first was “Plenty Of Girls In The Sea” which saw them in actual swim gear and flippers. Then they played “Alien Days” next, this time in normal clothing. But Andrew starts the performance by taking in some helium from a balloon to get the beginning of the song just right.

Find both performances below.

[watch]: Kanye West Perform “Bound 2” On Fallon

Kanye West did a rare late night television performance the other night on Jimmy Fallon, performing Yeezus’ closing track “Bound 2.” He performed it with Charlie Wilson (who performs his line from the song) as well as The Roots. It’s not the song you would expect Kanye choose to play on such a performance, but it turns out to be a pretty damn good choice.

Watch his performance below.
