Grinderman are releasing a remix album called Grinderman 2 RMX. The album features a re-worked version of “Evil” called the Silver Alert Remix. It features the vocals of The National’s Matt Berninger.

I’m pretty sure his vocals would sound good over anything.

Ben Browning is the bassist for Cut Copy, heavy favorites of mine. He’s releasing a solo EP titled Lover Motion that will be released by Cut Copy’s very own record label, Cutters.

This could have passed for very early Cut Copy, which is by all means, a very positive thing. It’s a vibrant synth track that will have you dancing. This guy is a part of Cut Copy, of course you’re dancing.

Moonface (Spencer Krug of Wolf Parade/Sunset Rubdown) is releasing a new album titled With Siinai: Heartbreaking Bravery on April 17 via Jagjaguwar.

“Teary Eyes And Bloody Lips” is the first piece of the new album, which Krug recorded in Finland along with the band Siinai. It’s a sonic explosion of the goodness that you’ve come to expect from Krug.

Last week we got the new Beach Fossils single “Lessons”, this week they graced us with b-side “Lessons”. If you’re a fan of Beach Fossils, you’re going to be really pleased with the way it turned out.

The bridge features some deliciously lush guitars that are as dreamy and hazy as you can ask for from Beach Fossils. The song packs quite a punch, and it’s available for free download.

On May 8th Here We Go Magic will release a new album titled A Different Ship via Secretly Canadian.

A Different Ship was produced by Radiohead producer/”sixth member” Radiohead’s main man Nigel Godrich produced the album, which has to get you excited.

“Make Up Your Mind” is the first track to be released from the LP. It has a funkty groove that sounds (unsurprisingly) like Radiohead. Download it below.

Beach Fossils are hard at work on their 2nd LP, and one of the results of that work that they have decided to release as a separate single.

When asked about the single by Spin (who premiered the song), Dustin told them:

Indie rock has been so safe for so long. People have been playing this pretty music that’s quiet and melodic and while there’s beauty in that, in making this album I’ve just ended up wanting to rebel against myself and make something really noisy.

“Shallow” is still very much a Beach Fossils song, just a bit more fuzzier around the edges. There’s still plenty of that memorable jangly guitar in there. The single is due February 21 via Captured Tracks, and will feature b-side “Lessons”.

I’ve never listened to too much by Big K.R.I.T. but I had to check out this new track since it is titled after the Friday Night Lights (film) character/real life football player Boobie Miles. The track from Big K.R.I.T. is super smooth and on point, something a fan of any genre could appreciate.

“Nowhere” is the latest single from Wild Nothing. It’s the first single that he’s been able to record in a proper studio. “Nowhere features guest vocals from Twin Sister’s Andrea Estella.

Captured Tracks is releasing the single, which will feature b-side “Wait”. A new album can be expected to be released later in the year.

Memoryhouse are back with another stunning cut from new album The Slideshow Effect. “Walk With Me” is a dreamy cinematic cut that is right up the band’s comfortable alley. The song really takes an upbeat positive turn at the end rising high up above the rest. It captures the feeling of being in a moment too good for you to truly realize how good it is. The moment’s there for the taking.

The Slideshow Effect drops February 28 via Sub Pop.
