Delicate Steve at Brooklyn Bowl (July 6, 2017)

Delicate Steve has been everywhere this year and we aren’t complaining one bit. We caught his solo show earlier in the year around the time his wonderful new album This Is Steve was released via Anti Records and were ecstatic when we found he he was coming back for another headlining gig at Brooklyn Bowl on July 6.

This year alone we have seen him at his solo gig back in February, sitting in with The Growlers at T5, and most recently, with Yeasayer at Prospect Park – and we have a feeling it won’t be the last. This show at Brooklyn Bowl though felt like one big party with good vibes at an all time high. From both of the openers to Steve, most of the members in every band that played were all from Brooklyn which made this show an absolute blast.

Singer-songwriter Margaret Glaspy has still been touring in support of her debut album Emotions And Math, which she released last year via ATO Records. We last caught her at Bowery Ballroom in February and she returned again on June 20 for a free show in Brooklyn at Coffey Park as a part of the SummerStage series.

The show also featured an opening set from Alexander F of Rubblebucket. Find photos of both performances (as well as Glaspy’s setlist) posted below all taken by our photographer Joe Saturday

Reptar at Rough Trade NYC (July 17, 2015)

By Will Oliver, September 1st 2015

On July 17 Athens, Georgia rockers Reptar played a late night set at Rough Trade NYC, showing off some of the material from their most recent release, Lurid Glow, which was released earlier this year via Joyful Noise Recordings.

Their unique and energetic blend of weirdo rock was a unstoppable ball of energy live. Their sound was raised to another level live thanks to a horn section that played by their side, which sometimes included members of Rubblebucket, who occasionally joined to add on to the already stacked arsenal. It was a delightfully fun set that was perfectly appropriate to let out past midnight.

Find some photos from their performance posted below.

Favorite Live Photos of 2014

By Will Oliver, February 5th 2015

(Foals at Terminal 5)

There was no shortage of great shows to be found in 2014. You can find the best 50 that I saw in 2014 right here. Throughout the year, we took thousands upon thousands of photos, documenting every moment of these unforgettable shows. We put in a lot of work trying to capture the essence of these performances, and I wanted to share these photos with you in one giant collection.

These are not only photos that I took, but also photos taken by our great team of contributing photographers. They’re posted in chronological order, as there was simply no other right way to go about ordering the photos. Below each photo, is the link to the original post, as well as the photographer credit (if it’s other than myself).

So with that said, sit back, and enjoy our favorite live concert photos that we took in 2014. You can also find the gallery posted over at our facebook page. There’s probably one too many photos posted here, but we probably saw way too many shows.
